Beacon × LINE Real-World RPG: Proximity-Triggered Mission System

Digitalent turns Beacons from positioning markers into 'on-site mission triggers,' coupling them with a LINE Bot and back-end scoring system to turn car rallies, year-end parties, and exhibitions into a real-world RPG that can be triggered on the move.

Beacon × LINE Real-World RPG: Proximity-Triggered Mission System

The Beacon module in the Digitalent LINE interaction engine upgrades Bluetooth Beacons from 'positioning markers' to 'on-site mission triggers.' When guest phones approach a Beacon, mission notifications pop up automatically — the whole event becomes a real-world RPG that triggers as people move.

Beacons in our hands aren't positioning markers

Most Beacon deployments answer 'where am I' (LBS positioning). Our design answers 'what does proximity to this Beacon trigger.' Every Beacon is a mission point: a hidden quest, a limited reward, a character node, or simply a photo-op easter egg.

Three interaction behaviors

  • Auto-trigger: phone approaches Beacon → LINE notification with the mission pops up automatically; no manual scan, no app to open
  • Real-world puzzles: follow mission prompts to find people, find props, find the next stage — the whole venue becomes a large-scale puzzle
  • Live scoring: completing missions updates score and leaderboard in real time; integrates with raffles, redemption, and big-screen announcements

Suitable scenarios

  • Automotive brand owner events (see our "BMW Our Family" case)
  • Corporate year-end parties and annual conferences
  • Exhibitions and brand events
  • Theme parks and shopping-mall events

Integration scope

Digitalent delivers the full stack: hardware (Beacon modules), back-end (mission editor + scoring + leaderboard), and LINE Bot integration. Buyers do not need to integrate a BLE vendor + LINE development team + back-end vendor separately — root-cause fixes go straight back to the design team.

This case is a core technical component of the Digitalent LINE interaction engine. See the Events page for more interaction solutions.
